The Challenge. Silvia Dopazo is an aerialist whose art demands total concentration — pre-show ritual, physical preparation, and mental focus converge in the hour before she takes the stage. Capturing her world authentically meant earning her trust while keeping the camera invisible enough to let the real moments breathe.
The Approach. We built the documentary across three separate trips — Miami for the personal foundation of her life and training, Montréal for the international circuit, and Indianapolis for a headline arena performance. The production balanced fly-on-the-wall observational work during rehearsals with carefully pre-lit hero sequences that put her craft center frame.
The Result. A three-part documentary series that brings audiences into a world rarely seen — the physical rigor, solitude, and joy of a life lived on the aerial silks. Each episode functions as a standalone chapter, while together they form a complete portrait of an athlete, artist, and storyteller.
